Care & Keeping

We are called to participate, not just believe.  In John chapter one and again in Genesis chapter one we read of a Holy Fellowship, joined together from eternity, hovering over the deep.  It is from that fellowship that we were created.  Created from and called to community.

While your relationship to Christ is personal, God never intends it to be private. In God’s family you are connected to every other person, and we belong to each other as adopted brothers and sisters, co-heirs with Christ in His kingdom.

In chapter 12 of the book of 1 Corinthians St. Paul wrote about community.  He began this chapter about community with the idea of spiritual gifts.  These gifts have been given by God to each of us in order to build up the whole body, the whole community.  Using the metaphor for the body he goes on to describe that as the body cannot fully work without each organ and member so the community cannot and does not work properly if each of us are not active in our part, using our gifts.

There are many ways for you to be involved in the "body" of Our Savior.  We work to encourage each other to be involved, equipped and cared for in this faith-family and in whatever community you find yourself. .
