  • Prayer Needs: Please call the church office at 836-9600 or Margarete Tabor at 246-1227 to activate the Prayer Chain. Prayer requests may come from any source. Requests are prayed for faithfully by the ladies in the Prayer Chain and kept confidential if requested. Join usFridays at 10 am. in the sanctuary for prayer. For information call Margarete Tabor.

  • Love One Another As I Have Loved You...In John 15:12 Jesus says,"'This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."'  Loving and caring for one another is not just the pastor's job--it's something Jesus calls us all to do!  Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for caring ministry can put those gifts to use in an organized way, bringing Jesus' love and care to those who most need it.  If you are in need of a Stephen Minister, please call Pastor Gravesmill (836-9600) or Linda Guttman (255-7759.)

    New Life Children’s Center is home to 80 young girls who need your support.  With your help, more girls can experience the loving care and hopeful future offered at New Life.  We invite you to join in transforming the lives of these deserving girls by becoming a sponsor of our “Make A Difference Gala” to transform the lives of these amazing girls!  Make A Difference Gala – Saturday, February 18 at Austin Music Hall

  • SeniorFest: Looking for the best pre-superbowl Sunday event in Texas. The Lutheran SeniorFest will be Saturday February 4th at Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock. Besides main presenter, Chaplain Venske, the Planning Committee has the best workshops, meal and refreshments, friends old and new, all cengtered on the pertinent topic of “How to be a Christian in the Public Square.” Get registered by filling out the form (church office has them) . Cost: $25.00 before January 27 or $30.00 at the door..

Children’s Ministry Opportunities
  • The nursery (age 3 and under) is available during worship. If you are interested in helping during worship, please call Maria Satterwhite at 468-4363 or email at maria@satterwhitefamily.com. More volunteers are needed.
 
School and Childcare Opportunities (836-9600)
  • Scrip Program- You may purchase gift cards such as Wal-Mart, and HEB at face value and the School and Childcare will receive a percentage of the purchase. You may purchase them between services or in the Church office during the week. Questions, call the office at 836-9600. Reminder: Wal-Mart card gives 10 cents/gallon gasoline discount; HEB card gives 11 cents/gallon gasoline discount.
 
Recycling Opportunities
  • Aluminum cans, cell phones, miscellaneous electronics, old eye glasses, newspapers, magazines, phone books and paper can be recycled here.  No cardboard boxes, please! Look for appropriate containers in narthex or parking lot.

  • NEW 2012 FLOWER CHART—The new Flower Chart has been posted in the Narthex. Be early and get your pick of dates. More than one family may sign-up per Sunday. The price will be $30 per Sunday, per family payable to the church. Place check in your weekly offering envelope and indicate “flowers”. You will be contacted the week before as a reminder and the rest is taken care of for you. You may take the flowers after the late service or they will be taken to a shut-in to enjoy. Contact Dorothy Maass, 836-9600 or 251-4515, if you have questions or concerns. Thank you for the beauty of flowers as we bloom for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • THE LUTHERAN WITNESS- The Church Council has decided not to budget the cost of the Lutheran Witness. This means you, as a family will need to pay the annual subscription price of $12.00 NOW. There is a Lutheran Witness envelope in the front of your offering envelope box. Make your check payable to Our Savior and place it in the Sunday offering plate. Thank you for understanding. Any questions, the office will try to help you..

  • Investor Services Assistant - The Texas District Church Extension Fund is seeking an Investor Services Assistant. This detail-oriented person will provide administrative and phone support for the investor services team. They will analyze and review information, file and prepare items for mailing. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Background check required. If interested, please e-mail your resume to herber@texascef.org.
     
  • Concordia UniversityConcordia now has opening for Director of Human Resources and also for Dean of the College of Science. Please see the bulletin board for requirements and how to submit resumes.

  • Help with Food Pantry- Collecting non-perishable food items for the STOREHOUSE in Pflugerville. There is a Box in the narthex where you may place your items. The Storehouse is located in the “POP” center on FM685 in Pflugerville and they are in need of volunteers.

  • The Bruno Milburn Scholarship Endowment Fund is a blessing to our church family. These funds are available to benefit members of OSL who study in LCMS educational institutions to be pastors, teachers, or church workers. Anyone can contribute, increasing the scholarship money available to those choosing such important work!
