Anniversary Fund Minimize

In this 35th Anniversary Year of the Early Childhood Program, and the 25th Anniversary Year of the Grade School, we intend to praise God for his bounteous crop by honoring the leaders and the alumni of these programs, but also look ahead by planting new seeds for the future.  Space is at a premium, existing facilities need upgrades, and the Gymnasium we have always dreamed of is still a dream.  Therefore, the Anniversary Committee has set a goal of raising a minimum of $50,000 that can be used a “Seed Money” for the expansion and renovation of the school and childcare facilities.  Your gifts and pledges can ensure that future generations of children will continue to receive a Christ-centered, academically excellent education.

History Minimize

In April, 1973, the Board of Missions of the Texas District, Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, called the Rev. James Noffke to serve as Missionary-At-Large to the North Austin area.  A five acre tract of land had already been purchased on the corner of Parmer Lane and North Lamar.  Then on July 22, 1973, a group of 26 people met for the first time in the chapel of the Texas District Office.  In September the small congregation began meeting at Walnut Creek Elementary School on Braker Lane.  Plans were made, a constitution was formed, and Rev. Noffke was called as the first pastor.  November 11, 1973 was the Charter Sunday..
