Why Choose OSL Youth Group?
Our youth group provides an opportunity where spiritual transformation begins and lasting relationships are formed. The following opportunities are not exhaustive but provide examples of fellowships, leadership, and spiritual growth.
Youth Events
Confirmation
Confirmation is a program designed for children (6th – 12th grade) to affirm their faith and commitment to Christian teachings. It typically involves interactive and exciting study, reflection, and instruction.
Night in the Light
Night in the Light is a time for fellowship, engaging activities, games, and skits.
Bible Study
Bible Study nurtures spiritual growth by studying God’s Word and teaching children, through example, to be disciples of Christ.
Servant Events
Servant Events are a chance for youth to bond, learn compassion, and explore their faith while serving others in the community.
Youth Gatherings
Youth Gatherings happen every three years. Youth groups from across the nation gather in a destination city for fellowship, servant events, small group sessions, Bible study, games, and worship. (Next Gathering – 2025)
Christopher Drew
Youth Director
Christopher Drew, a Virginia native, grew up immersed in the beauty of the outdoors, fostering his love for camping and nature. His passion for biblical history and spreading God’s truth has been evident throughout his life. Married to his wife Madelyn for several years, they share the joy of parenting their sweet 5-year-old daughter, Emma.
Christopher assumed the role of Youth Director at Our Savior Lutheran Church (OSL) on December 23rd, 2018, and has been an integral part of the youth structure at OSL. He is dedicated to welcoming new children into the youth program and guiding them on their spiritual journey. Working closely with parents and youth, Christopher strives to foster discipleship and nurture the growth of young Christians. Over the years, he has found joy in witnessing the spiritual growth of the youth in the community, seeing them become more grounded in their faith and grow into compassionate individuals. With an engaging youth program, he provides opportunities for fellowship, leadership development, and spiritual growth.
